Mission Statement

FATHERS is a non-profit group of men and women dedicated to the belief that:

"No loving father should go childless and no child should go fatherless because of outdated, meaningless, biased, and unenforceable laws, practices, and social habits".

We believe that the American people will not stand for the injustices faced by divorced and single fathers once this issue is made fully public. Although the group was started for fathers, we do have mothers that have been treated just as unfairly and cruelly. FATHERS stands for the rights of any child and loving relative that have been separated from each other unjustly. We meet at the Paducah Public Library the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 PM. Join us. Let's fix this.

FATHERS, Putting The Family Back In Parenting For Kentucky

note: There are many lawyers, judges, and social workers that work hard to protect the children and families of Kentucky. FATHERS supports them and works with them 100%. There are however some lawyers, judges, and social workers that are biased, lazy, and incompetent. Because FATHERS works hard to expose the harm they do to our children, they slander FATHERS in an attempt to protect themselves. Listen to their words carefully, and believe their actions.    Mike East, President

The  Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Memphis, March 9-12, was a great success!. http://www.srlc.org/

FATHERS VP Mike East with Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee

The Southern Republican Leadership Conference held in Memphis this past week was a great success for FATHERS as well as non-custodial parents and groups across the nation! The republican party is listening. Governor Mike Huckabee's speech reflected sincere concern for the importance of children to have both parents involved in an active meaningful relationship with their children. From a conversation with the Arkansas governor, FATHERS VP Mike East said "I felt a genuine, heartfelt connection, father to father. I believe this man will stand up for family, fathers, mothers, and children. All we want to do is simply stay parents. I believe Mike understands this very well."

Our VP also met and expressed FATHERS' concerns to US Senator George Allen of Virginia, US Senator Bill Frist of Tennessee, RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman, and Chris Matthews of MSNBC's Hardball.

"This has been an unbelievable success", reported Mike East. "I believe this party not only recognizes the importance of these parenting issues, I believe they know 25 million non-custodial parents can swing elections. This is a win-win proposition. We don't expect anyone to solve these problems overnight, but to fail to recognize what is becoming a national crisis is political suicide!"

FATHERS , Fathers Asking To Have Equal Rights is a mix of Republican, Democrat, and Independents. We do not support one party over another, but support all those that stand for family values and the true long term well being of our families and state.
FATHERS recognizes the devastating mental and emotional harm done to all involved in divorce and vicious custody battles, most of all our children. We are striving to change the mindset of Kentucky that as ugly as divorce is, the harm being done to our children must be recognized and dealt with. That divorce has become big business for the State of Kentucky as well as the legal profession, and is being conducted as a war between parents with the children and parents suffering greatly. This pagan attitude has got to stop! We must seek peaceful and workable solutions that insure both parents and all family are not only allowed, but encouraged to remain in the children's lives. The well being of our children must outweigh the battles over money and power! All who profit from the harm of divorce on our children must be held accountable!  Those legislators and lawyers that recognize this, put aside their personal agendas, and take a stand for our families and state will be the true heroes of our next generation!
