Mike Oakley’s three girls have been moved thousands of miles across Kentucky, Alabama, New Mexico, and Colorado during the past 2 years as the mother chases after new boyfriends and whatever whim stirs her fancy. His girls had to sleep in an unfurnished attic at one of their residences. They have lived by themselves without the mother, at that time the oldest girl was 13 and in charge of her younger 11 year old sister in a very dangerous part of town. If the girls complain for punishment they have been force to eat liquid soap. In spite of Mike’s $20,340 yearly payments to the mother the girls have not received medical treatment for pneumonia, Mike had to take them when they visited. . His middle girl was not treated for cerebral palsy, Mike had to have her diagnosed when she was visiting. The mother has had them at adult parties and let them drink alcohol. The state police were called and told Mike as long as the mother was present nothing could be done. In the 2008 school year the girls missed 39 days of school. Family and Protective Services and Ballard Court have told Mike that all this was completely acceptable and since the girls were moved out of state it did not concern them anyway. The latest court violation occurred this month when the girls visited within a few miles of Mike’s home for two weeks in secret, and were told they would be punished if they contacted their father. Mike has not been able to speak to or see his girls since August 8, 2008. This is in direct violation of court orders.

The absurd list of mistakes the courts have made in their failure to protect these three minor girls include not only granting a false DVO, (restraining order), against Mike. Mike was working at a cattle company and had witnesses and paperwork to prove he was two counties away when the mother lied about the attack.  But in an angry tirade the mother went to Mike's mother's home and attacked the helpless grandmother, a 64 year old senior citizen at the time. The Oakley grandmother was holding her 10 month old grandson and was knocked to the floor of her own home by the mother, and the judge granted the DVO against the helpless grandmother!

Mike’s next court date is in front of Ballard Circuit Court Judge Tim Langford if the mother can be served. The court manages to get Mike's yearly payment of $20,340 to the mother every month, but somehow can't find her to serve papers on her requesting her to be in court and answer for her abusive behavior.

Jerry Nichol’s girls were likewise failed by the courts and Family Protective Services. Jerry has fought for over 3 years to save his two girls from the mother’s neglect and abuse. The mother has been taken to court 3 separate times because of the girls missing school. One year they missed over 30 days each. The girls have been abandoned by the mother, verbally abused, dressed in inappropriate clothing and taken to adult parties. The mother has a string of court appearances and a file with Family Protective Services the size of a large book. Jerry does not have one incident of any type of abuse or failure with his children. The mother’s neglect finally resulted in young Jasmine, 13 at the time being sexually assaulted. This assault was not even turned in to the authorities by the mother. The mother of a friend of young Jasmine filed the report with police. This attack is nothing more than an embarrassment to the court and Family Protective Services and both the court and CPS have scolded and told young Jasmine to remain silent about her attack. No attempt has been made what so ever to bring the offender to justice, or give Jasmine the treatment she needs to recover from this traumatic experience.

Jasmine Nichols' plea for help.

James Jeffries was sitting in his home with his four year old son. It was nearly bedtime and James was reading to his four year old son, who was in his pajamas and getting him ready for bed. Without warning and to the horror and astonishment of both James and his four year old- police burst into his home and ripped his terrified screaming four year old from his loving father’s arms. Strangers wearing guns and uniforms loaded this young terrified, trembling, screaming with fear, four year old into a police cruiser with a state worker that the young boy had never seen before. He didn’t know if he would ever see his father again, where he was going, or what was happening.

This was all the result of a godless mercenary lawyer’s tactics to simply win in a custody hearing. All of the fabricated charges were later proven to be nothing more that a legal ploy that has become all too common in Western Kentucky’s dirty legal games. An EPO/DVO REGARDLESS IF PROVEN FALSE has come to be known as a slam-dunk because there is no defense against it. Just look at the Marshal County School supervisor that had to spend over $150,000 in legal fees to prove the charges against him were false.

The dirty lawyers and misguided parents that use these unlawful, unethical, and immoral tactics are not held accountable. There are no legal repercussions for filing false charges that result in false EPO/DVOs. Every lawyer in Western Kentucky is aware this is happening yet they do nothing to correct the problem. Why should they? They are getting wealthy from our broken legal system. And all at the terrible expense of our young children and families.

One of the officers involved in James’ nightmare later took time to return to his home and personally apologize for the trauma that he played a part in causing to this young innocent child.
