Lost Son

Editor's note: The following is an email received that is self explanatory. The reply we received from the Legislative Research Commission is typical of the response we receive from just about every agency we contact regarding father's rights "we can't help you, hire yourself a lawyer".

Subject: a lost son

Mr. Jeffries,   In reading your inquiry re: Mr. Miller's desire to find his son,  I contacted the state Child Support office to see what direction they could give me.  Due to confidentiality laws, they cannot give out the location/address of his ex or his son.   The only other option would be to have Mr. Miller hire an attorney to enjoin the Cabinet for Health and Family Services in an attempt to locate the 2 of them.  That way, his attorney would basically be trying to force the Cabinet to divulge the location of his son.    There is no other agency that could give out the address of his ex or his son.   Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to help.
